It’s easy to recognize Vincent van Gogh’s paintings. Aside from his signature expressive brushstrokes, the colors from his paintings are distinctive in itself and he did seem to favor the golds (ochre, orange, pale yellow) and blues (teal, indigo, sage) throughout most of his artwork. Regardless of whether the color is ochre or sage, there is a juxtaposition of a warm/cool undertone that creates a somber mood. Let’s take a look at the color palettes inspired from van Gogh’s paintings! Which one do you like?
